Dr. Basavaraj Mundasad (Dr Raj)

I graduated with a MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Belgaum, India in 1995. I completed my post-graduate surgical training from the same institute in 1999.  I obtained my MRCSEd from The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, UK in 2001. I did higher surgical training from Northern Ireland and Scotland region and completed my exit exam to obtain FRCS General Surgery in 2009. I worked as a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon in United Kingdom. I moved to Australia in 2013 and successfully completed my Australian Fellowship in 2015.

I have provided surgical services to Armidale and the surrounding communities since 2013. At Armidale Specialist Centre, I am happy to see both public and privately insured patients and arrange their surgical care either at the Public Hospital or Armidale Private Hospital.

My scope of practice includes Consultations, Laproscopy, GI Endoscopy, General Surgery (hernias, lumps etc.) and Colorectal Surgery.
